The Appraisal Institute of Canada
AACI - Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute designates full accredited membership in the institute and may be used by the holder in connection with the appraisal of all types of real estate.
CRA - Canadian Residential Appraiser - may be used by the holder, only in connection with the appraisal and valuation of individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and dwellings containing not more than three self contained family housing units.
The Appraisal Institute of Canada requires full liability insurance coverage for all members and recertification programs are necessary to maintain the professional designations.
Real Estate Institute of Canada
FRI - The FRI Designation, a certification owned and registered by the Canadian Real Estate Association, is the longest standing achievement in the field of real estate and is held by more than 2,500 professionals across Canada. It is awarded to those whose education, experience and ethical conduct has met the rigorous standards set by the Institute to warrant such a distinction.
